Please join the Global Health Research Center of Central Asia's Culture, Religion, and Communication Unit for its first annual conference entitled: Healing Paradigms and the Politics of Health in Central Asia.

This conference aims to foster conversation about culturally-informed approaches to health-related research in Central Asia. Conference participants include: Devin DeWeese (Indiana University), Richard Elovich (Columbia University), Erica Johnson (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill), Salmaan Keshavjee (Harvard University), Erin Koch (University of Kentucky), Alisher Latypov (University College London), Paula Michaels (University of Iowa), Danuta Penkala-Gawęcka (Adam Mickiewicz University), and Jeff Sahadeo (Carleton University). Meals and a reception will be provided.

Columbia Global Centers, the Harriman Institute, and the Columbia University Seminar on Slavic History and Culture generously provided support for this conference.
