The panel, with discussant Sheri Berman (Professor of Political Science at Barnard College) and moderator Alan Timberlake (Director of the East Central European Center at Columbia University), will probe issues such as the origins of illiberal populism and its effects on the political systems in Europe and the future of the European Union.
