Kimberly Marten (Ann Whitney Olin Professor of Political Science, Barnard College, and Director of the Program on US-Russia Relations) appeared on PBS Newshour Weekend with  Hari Sreenivasan to discuss the Russia indictments, Yevgenii Prigozhin, and the Internet Research Agency troll farm. Marten makes the  point that the indictments are a form of sanctions because they prevent the individuals from traveling to any country that has an extradition agreement with the US, and a deterrent to future bad behavior because they are so very detailed, indicating incredible US intelligence resources.
