Student Affairs

The Harriman Institute offers a number of programs for students interested in Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe.

The Master of Arts in Regional Studies — Russia, Eurasia and Eastern Europe (MARS-REERS) is administered through the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences for those wishing to focus on a multidisciplinary approach to the study of the region.

The Harriman Certificate is open to all graduate students enrolled in a degree program at Columbia University.

The SIPA Regional Specialization is open to all SIPA students.

The Harriman Institute does not offer a course of study for undergraduates, however we work with departments across campus to offer courses and events relevant to the region.  Click here for more information.

The Harriman Institute also offers various forms of Graduate Student Support and Undergraduate Student Support to Columbia students.
