Please join the Harriman Institute for a reading and talk by poet Lev Oborin. Oborin will read from his recent collection of verse Zelenyi Greben (“The Green Ridge,”Ailuros Publishing, 2013) and share some observations on the state of contemporary Russian poetry. Oborin, a Russian poet, critic, and translator, lives in Moscow. He has published critical essays in leading Moscow journals, including Znamia, Novyi Mir and Oktiabr. Shortlisted for the Debut Prize in 2004 and 2008, he was awarded a prize from Znamia in 2011. His poetry has been translated into English, Polish, German and Latvian. He is an editor at the Russian edition of Rolling Stone.
