Wednesday, July 8, 2020

We are pleased to announce that Aleksandar Bošković has joined Christopher Harwood to co-direct our East Central European Center. Bošković is a scholar of Russian and East European modernism, Yugoslav, post-Yugoslav and Balkan Studies, with a background in comparative literature, critical theory, and visual studies.

We would like to thank Christopher Caes for his leadership of the Center over the past two years. He has greatly enriched its spirit and programming, organizing events such as a conference dedicated to the life of Polish Jewish children's educator and pedagogue Janusz Korczak and bringing the Nobel Laureate Olga Tokarczuk to Columbia in 2018.
