Ann Cooper (CBS Professor of Professional Practice in International Journalism; Director, Global Journalism) received a cryptic email from around the globe and across 28 years, which would bring her back to Lithuania, where she had reported on the protest of the Ribentrop-Molotov 1939 agreement in Vilnius, on August 23, 1987, which she had covered as a NPR correspondent. This past spring Cooper went to Lithuania and met the author of the email, whom she remembered from that distant protest. In her essay "From Lithuania, with Love," Cooper reflects on one of the most extraordinary reporting jobs of her career.
