Rhiannon Dowling Is Awarded ASEEES Robert C. Tucker/Stephen F. Cohen Dissertation Prize

Rhiannon Dowling (Harriman Postdoctoral Research Fellow) has been awarded the Robert C. Tucker/Stephen F. Cohen Dissertation prize for her dissertation “Brezhnev’s War on Crime: The Criminal in Soviet Society, 1963-1984,” defended at University of California, Berkeley (May 2017). The Tucker/Cohen Prize, admininsted by the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies, the major professional organization in the field, is awarded for an "outstanding English-language dissertation in Soviet or Post-Soviet politics and history in the tradition practiced by Tucker and Cohen, defended at an American or Canadian university."
