On July 29, 2020, Yuri Shevchuk gave a talk, “Ukrainians in Soviet Film about the Second World War,” for the Fulbright Program in Ukraine. It was part of the lecture series “The Price of Peace” organized by the Ukrainian Fulbright Circle in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe and supported by the US Embassy in Kyiv.
The series began in May and will run through the end of September. It features some of the leading Ukrainian and international authorities in Ukrainian studies including Yuri Shapoval (Ukraine), Roman Serbyn (Canada), Serhii Plokhii (USA), Oksana Stiazhkina (Ukraine), Serhii Yekelchyk (Canada), Ivan Patryliak (Ukraine), Marta Dyczok (Canada) and others. The lecture series is broadcast live online and then made available as a video recording on the Ukrainian Fulbright Circle’s YouTube channel to viewers around the world. Watch the video on YouTube.
