Klaus Segbers
Adjunct Professor of International and Public Affairs
Klaus Segbers studied history, political science, philosophy and Slavic languages in Bochum, Konstanz and Bremen from 1974 until 1980 (MA). He earned a Ph.D. in Bremen (1985). He was a research fellow at Frankfurt University (1988-1990), and after that worked for Germany’s biggest think tank, the SWP (1990 -1996), where he was the head of the Department for Eastern Europe. In 1996, Segbers became Professor of International and East European Politics at Freie Universität Berlin, where he also established the Center for Global Politics.
