What is your thesis about?

I am examining how wartime collaborationism interacts with the delineation of the nation, comparing the cases of the current war in Ukraine and Kosovo in the 90s.

What are some of your favorite things about studying at the Harriman Institute?

I love the variety of languages on offer here, and how close-knit the Harriman community is.

Where in the region have you traveled?

I worked in Kyiv, Ukraine, for just under a year, at the Ukrainian Parliament and with a human rights organization. This summer, I conducted research in Kosovo and completed a language course in Split, Croatia thanks to a summer language fellowship I received from the Harriman Institute. I have also traveled to Hungary and Russia.

Fun Fact:

I speak six languages! French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Latin, English, and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian
