Anna Frajlich (Senior Lecturer Emerita) has been awarded the Jubilee Medal of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. The medal, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the University’s founding, was awarded to Frajlich for her years of cooperation with the Catholic University of Lublin, in particular her collaboration with the School of Polish Language and Culture and the Open University, and more generally her support in building links with the University and institutions and scholars in the United States. Over the years, many of Frajlich’s students studied Polish language at the University of Lublin.
The medal was to have been awarded to Frajlich at a ceremony in March 2020, but was cancelled because of the pandemic. Frajlich received the medal together with letters of appreciation and congratulation from Professor Antoni Dôbi?Ñski, Rector of the Catholic University, and Anna Tarnowska-Waszak, Rector’s Plenipotentiary for International Relations.
