Columbia University Libraries has collected Slavic and East European language materials since at least 1903. This exhibition and its companion publication of essays provide an overview of the developmental history of collecting on Morningside Heights through vignettes of historical personalities and print and archival collecting milestones over the past 115 years. Curated by Edward Kasinec and Robert H. Davis Jr., with Erica Stefano.

Join us for a meeting of the New York-Russia Public Policy Series, co-hosted by the Harriman Institute at Columbia University and the New York University Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia. In this first event of the academic year, our panelists will discuss the results and importance of Russia’s Duma elections for parliament held on September 19, 2021. Featuring panelists Jake Cordell and Felix Light (The Moscow Times), Gulnaz Sharafutdinova (Russia Institute, King's College London), Regina Smyth (Indiana University), and David Szakonyi (George Washington University).
