Georgi Gospodinov’s Time Shelter Shortlisted for the International Booker Prize

Time Shelter by Georgi Gospodinov (Harriman Writer in Residence, Fall 2022), translated by Angela Rodel, was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize. The £50,000 prize money is divided equally between the author and translator. The shortlist of six books was announced on April 18. The winning title will be announced at a ceremony  in London on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

The International Booker Prize Committee on Time Shelter:

A wide-ranging, thought-provoking, macabre and humorous novel about nationality, identity and ageing, and about the healing and destructive power of memory.
