Elizabeth Kridl Valkenier is Adjunct Associate Professor Emerita of Art History and Archaeology. Her books include Russian Realist Art. The State and Society: The Peredvizhniki and Their Tradition (Ardis, 1977) and The Wanderers: Masters of Nineteenth-Century Russian Painting (University of Washington Press, 1991). Her interests include Russian art history, Central Asian history and politics, the former Soviet Union and the Third World, and Polish historiography.
