Olesya Gerasimenko, special correspondent at the Russian daily newspaper Kommersant. During her time in New York, Ms. Gerasimenko focused on a number of projects, including a comparison between Russian and U.S. immigration problems; the investigation and prosecution of hate crimes; and a comparison of the arrests and trials of the May 6, 2012 Boltnaya Square protestors in Russia and those of the Occupy protestors in the United States.
