Selected Prints presents a focused selection of Radomir Đukanović’s graphic works produced over the past two decades, offering an overview of an artistic practice that moves fluidly between abstraction, gesture, and symbolic suggestion. Working through printmaking as a field of reduction, layering, and repetition, Đukanović constructs images that evoke landscapes, architectural fragments, organic forms, traces of writing, dreamscapes, everyday objects, and archaeological surfaces without resolving into fixed narratives. His restrained yet dynamic visual language places contemporary graphic practice in dialogue with the legacies of Art Informel, lyrical abstraction, the material poetics of Antoni Tàpies, the sign-based poetics of Paul Klee, and the experimental traditions of the Yugoslav neo-avant-garde.

The exhibited prints reveal the breadth of this vocabulary. Several compositions are structured around dense red and black linear networks that recall both architectural scaffolding and gestural drawing, contemporary wire fencing and the interwoven ornament of medieval pletenie sloves, set against pale grounds that emphasize the tension between order and improvisation. Others reduce the image to simplified geometric forms or isolated chromatic fields, while a number of works introduce handwritten marks, repeated motifs, or rhythmic patterns that oscillate between text and image. Throughout the exhibition, richly textured surfaces, fragmented signs, and carefully balanced compositions invite prolonged viewing, encouraging the viewer to navigate between material presence and symbolic openness rather than narrative certainty.
