The Harriman Institute first opened its doors on September 25, 1946. This academic year, we commemorate its 80th anniversary. Throughout the year, watch for the continuing rollout of our 80 Years, 80 Stories initiative on the Harriman website: a retrospective series of eighty vignettes highlighting the moments and people that have shaped our present. Our anniversary events will also include conferences, lectures, concerts, and a series of art exhibitions in the Harriman atrium (12th Floor IAB). A special 80th-anniversary issue of Harriman Magazine is forthcoming as well and will feature pieces by faculty and alumni celebrating Harriman’s enduring legacy.
