Agnieszka Legutko, Senior Lecturer in Yiddish, received a 2024 Presidential Award for Outstanding Teaching. The awards were established in 1996 to honor excellence in teaching at the University. Five awards are conferred to faculty and 3 awards are conferred to graduate student instructors each year. The Columbia community is invited to submit nominations, and these are reviewed by selection committees comprised of both faculty and students, including prior winners.
