Please join the Harriman Institute for a roundtable on Confronting Corruption: Legal Challenges and Civic Responses in Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Landscape. Participants include Matthew H. Murray, Amelia Hadfield, Emma Mateo, and Anastasiia Vlasenko.

This round table brings together scholars and practitioners to explore the multifaceted struggle against corruption in Ukraine. Discussions will examine the legal framework of anti-corruption efforts, highlighting both progress and persistent loopholes in enforcement. Participants will address the influence of legislative corruption and the enduring power of oligarchic interests in shaping reform outcomes. The session will also analyze the role of public protest and civic activism in resisting policies that undermine transparency and accountability. By combining research insights with real-world perspectives, the round table aims to identify pathways toward more effective and equitable governance in Ukraine.
