Please join the Harriman Institute for a lecture by Georgi Gogia. Moderated by Julie George.
There are significant changes happening in the region: military resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict; Azerbaijan’s entrenched authoritarianism and quest for international legitimacy through hosting mega events, like the global climate conference; Armenia’s identity crisis; and allegations of the state capture in Georgia. Gogia will discuss some of the key human rights trends in the region, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
Georgi Gogia is Associate Director for Europe and Central Asia Division at Human Rights Watch.
