The Institute for the Study of Human Rights and the Harriman Institute invite you to a talk with 2014 Advocate Iulia Marcinschi of Moldova, Sr. Programmes and Policy Officer with ILGA-Europe. Moderated by Elise Giuliano, Lecture of Political Science, Director of Graduate Studies of the MA Program at the Harriman Institute.

Iulia Marcinschi (she/her) will discuss ILGA-Europe’s approach to Russia’s war in Ukraine as well as offer some lessons learned. She will discuss the challenges LGBTI groups and organizations faced when they had to rapidly restructure their work to provide direct support to people in especially difficult circumstances (refugees, survivors of torture, people fleeing from conflict zones). Iulia attended the 2014 Human Rights Advocates Program at ISHR.
