Exhibit. Children of the War

Children of the War is organized around the publication of a new artist book by Marina Tëmkina and Michel Gérard titled Boys Fight. The text for this publication originated in 2014 in reaction to Russia’s initial invasion into Ukraine and was completed amid anxiety about the presidential election in the United States.

Lens on a Century is curated by Edward Kasinec, Hoover Institution, Stanford University/Harriman Institute, with designs by Remy Chwae. This exhibit in twenty-five panels seeks to provide a “lens” on a period from circa 1899 to the post- World War II era as prismed through a necessarily very small selection of documentary photographic albums chosen from the hundreds found within the Hoover’s archival collections.
