Mark Andryczyk (Associate Research Scholar, Ukrainian Studies Program) collected ten years of his joint Harriman/Kennan series on Contemporary Ukrainian Literature and published it as The White Chalk of Days (Academic Studies Press, 2017). The book was published with the support of a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and a grant from the Harriman Institute. The White Chalk of Days garnered Honorable Mention for the 2019 American Association for Ukrainian Studies Translation Prize.
