Jessica Merrill (Assistant Professor, Slavic Languages) received a Lenfest Junior Faculty Development Grant for her research project “Circling in Time and Space: Modern Temporalities and the Narration of Experience.” Her research explores the relationship between plot forms and conceptualizations of time, and how plot forms organize the depiction of experience in 20th- and 21st-century Russian literature as well as in personal narratives transmitted orally and online.
