Maria Stepanova (Harriman Writer in Residence, Spring ’22) was awarded the Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger in the category of non-fiction for her book In Memory of Memory. The novel was translated from the Russian by Anne Coldefy-Faucart and published in French translation by Stock under the title En mémoire de la mémoire. (New Directions published the English translation by Sasha Dugdale in 2018.)
