Mark Mazower (Ira D. Wallach Professor of History; Director, Columbia Institute for Ideas and Imagination) has been selected as the next recipient of the prestigious Gennadius Prize. He will be honored in New York City at the May 2023 Gala of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens.

In his official announcement, chairman of the Gennadius Library Board of Overseers Andreas Zombanakis stated, “In addition to his extensive scholarly accomplishments and the multiple books he’s written, Mark Mazower continues to tirelessly promote modern and ancient Greek culture and its relevance in today’s world.”
