Tanya Chebotarev’s detective novel “Lovers in Grey or How to Steal a Chagall” (Serye liubovniki ili kak ukrast’ Chagala, Slovo, 2023), coauthored with Nataliya Semyonova, is the Book of the Month at Moskva Bookstore. The main hero of the novel is Marc Chagall’s painting “Lovers In Grey.” In this story of robbery, betrayal and murder we follow the painting from the twentieth century to the early years of the present century.
