Ann Cooper (CBS Professor Emerita of Professional Practice in International Journalism; Editor-in-Chief, Harriman Magazine) wrote about the Russian Independent Media Archive (RIMA) for NiemanReports. The archive, “a digitized, open access, easily searchable collection of 131 Russian media outlets,” was co-founded by exiled Russian journalists in the wake of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in order to preserve journalism that has been censored or is at risk of being censored by the Kremlin.
