Anna Frajlich (Senior Lecturer in Polish, Emerita) was awarded the Medal of the University of Szczecin in December 2020. Frajlich’s work has been the subject of scholarly work at the University of Szczecin, and she has given readings of her poetry and attended seminars at the university located in the city where she grew up and went to high school. In 2008, Frajlich was made Honorary Ambassador of Szczecin. The city appears in a dozen or so of her poems, and Forma, the publisher of her recent books of poetry, is located in Szczecin.
