Alexander Cooley, Timothy Frye and Elise Giuliano all took part in Ukrainathon, a 24-hour “marathon” online event that featured continuous 15-minute talks by PONARS Eurasia scholars from the U.S., Ukraine, and other Eurasian states. The goal of Ukrainathon were to “mobilize Ponars’ absolutely unparalleled volume of research-grounded expertise to help the world better understand what is happening and the implications; and to raise funds for the IERES Petrarch Program on Ukraine’s efforts to aid Ukrainian scholars and students.”
