Anatoly Zverev (1931–1986) was a legend in the Moscow art circles of the second half of the 20th century. His life and work became an original illustration of the myth of the vagabond— "a genius capable of creating a masterpiece with a sweep of the hand…" This exhibition features Zverev's artworks from the 1950s to the mid-1980s, courtesy of the Kolodzei Art Foundation.

The Ukrainian Film Club at Columbia University continues its series, New Genres of Contemporary Ukrainian Cinema. Developing the topic of its most recent event, the Club will screen extended episodes from a number of rarely seen feature narrative films that exemplify the new genre of Ukrainian youth movies, made by the young generation of Ukrainian filmmakers. The program will include the works of such filmmakers as Sasha Lidahovsky, Mykhailo Dziuba, Antin Velboi, Irma Vitovska, Antonio Lukich and others. Yuri Shevchuk will introduce the program and mediate the post-screening discussion.

The Harriman Institute and the Barnard Music Department present a performance by the Barnard-Columbia Chorus and Chamber Singers conducted by Gail Archer. The program features The All Night Vigil, Sergei Rachmaninoff's 1915 composition that incorporates liturgical texts of the Russian Orthodox Church (performed by the Barnard-Columbia Chorus), as well as chamber works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Balakirev, Ippolitof-Ivanov, and Leontovich (performed by the Barnard-Columbia Chamber Singers).
