Haley Zehurung received a Fulbright U.S. Student Grant to teach and study in Uzbekistan. Zehurung graduated from Columbia College with a degree in political science and Russian language, then earned an M.A. in the Harriman Institute’s BA/MA Program with a focus on Central Asia. As an English Teaching Assistant in Uzbekistan, she hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the region before ultimately working in international development or diplomacy.
