Lili worked in Ukraine first as a Peace Corps Education Volunteer from September 2017 to March 2020. She then worked as a journalist covering business news and then as business editor for the Kyiv Post in Kyiv, Ukraine from February 2021 to August 2021. As a reporter at the Kyiv Post, Lili covered topics in banking, finance, and infrastructure. Lili is interested in Ukraine’s overall economic development and reforms, as well as cultural and anthropological topics in Ukraine. Lili speaks French, Russia, as well as some Ukrainian and plans to focus on improving her Ukrainian skills throughout her time at Columbia’s Harriman Institute. Following her master’s degree, Lili plans to return to Ukraine to live full time.
