Maria Zholobova, a journalist working with the Russian independent media outlet Proekt (The Project), was in residence at the Harriman Institute in April and May. Ms. Zholobova served as a news editor at the Russian business daily Kommersant before joining RosBusinessConsulting (RBC), one of Russia’s largest media holdings, in 2014. She left RBC in 2016 to work at the independent Russian television channel Dozhd (TV Rain) where she wrote and hosted her own program “Fake News” and contributed to several investigative news pieces. She moved to Proekt in 2018. Ms. Zholobova holds a master’s degree from the Institute of Journalism and Creative Writing in Moscow.
