Ronald Meyer
Communications Mgr.; Adj. Associate Professor of Slavic Languages
Meyer is best known for his translations of Anna Akhmatova’s My Half-Century: Selected Prose (Ardis, 1992; 3rd edition 2013), for which he was awarded a Wheatland Foundation Translation Grant, and Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s The Gambler & Other Stories (Penguin UK, 2010). In recent years he has been translating from Polish the poetry and prose of Anna Frajlich, former Senior Lecturer in Polish at Columbia, about whom he edited a special issue of The Polish Review. He is on the advisory boards of Tematy i konteksty (University of Rzeszów) and Polish Biographical Studies (University of Szczecin).
