Anna Frajlich (Senior Lecturer in Polish, Emerita) and Ronald Meyer (Harriman and Slavic) took part in the launch of the new anthology Ukrainian-American Poets Respond, held at the Ukrainian Institute of America on September 16, 2022. The anthology was edited by Elena Jennings and Virlana Tkaxz.
Frajlich read the original Polish text of her poem “Uciec ze Lwowa,” which Polish PEN had published in its collection of poets’ responses to the war; Meyer read his translation “Flight from Lviv.” The third-floor salon of the landmark building was filled to capacity.
