I received my Harriman Certificate in 2017, specializing in Romania because of my Peace Corps service in Târgu Ocna from 2008–11. In 2021, I found out about women’s professional tackle football while moving back to my homework, El Cajon, CA, to help my family take care of my grandmother. I had never played a team sport in my life prior to joining the Women’s National Football Conference’s San Diego team, the Rebellion, in 2022. After my second season, my teammates voted me Most Improved Player in 2023. I continue to play for the Rebellion as defensive end and to be part of a diverse group of women who are working toward one day being paid to play football.
