Sophie Pinkham (Ph.D., Slavic Department, 2019) writes how recent collections of poetry by Russian women offer a glimpse of how perceptions of feminism are changing in post-communist Slavic countries. Pinkham reviews the anthology F Letter: New Russian Feminist Poetry, edited by Galina Rymbu, and new volumes of poetry by Lida Yusupova and Rymbu. Translations by Columbia alumni Joan Brooks and Bela Shayevich appear in the last two collections.
